The Territory Manager should be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual who will plan, organise and carry out engagement activities with external referrers for Beacon Hospital. Specifically, he/she will interact with GPs and their staff (practice nurses, secretaries) in order to encourage referrals to Beacon, and will respond to and address specific concerns from these practices. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Strategic Projects with the aim of further strengthening relationships with GPs across the Munster region. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Drive Referrals in line with hospital business plan and dept/consultant availability Coordinates and directs the interaction of GPs with Beacon Hospital. Provide weekly Feedback Reports to highlight both significant and relevant issues that may arise Configure and maintain CRM software to accurately capture day-to-day activity and interactions with GPs and other external referrers Supporting Local Hospitals/Clinics establishing strong relations with key personnel in local Hospitals to offer service and urgent transfer of patients Aligns GP requirements with the services of the hospital. Analyses current referral rates and identifies opportunities for business growth. Ensures that all trends with the GP market are monitored and capitalises on opportunities for increased service delivery. Maintains clear communications with the Head of Strategic Projects and Head of GP Relations and wider Referrals team, as well as the relevant points of contact in the hospital Focus and grow referral pathways into Beacon Limerick clinics Works collaboratively with the marketing team including participation in both the preparation and delivery of GP Study Events in order to maximise GP attendance. Identifies appropriate internal controls that may be required in order to ensure that referrals are maximised Leadership Responsibilities Responsible for assignment of own time in order to maximise on deliverables. Responsible for the direct and indirect promotion of hospital services to the GP market. Continuously develop as well as demonstrate leadership ability in order to act as an effective ambassador for the hospital. Demonstrates a confidence and competence in the promotion of all hospital services. Effective recording of all necessary documentation. Personal & Professional Responsibilities Maintain a timely approach to activities ensuring that queries are addressed in a prompt fashion. Ensure their professional and personal persona positively reflects the Beacon Hospital. Identify potential areas for service growth. Utilise all practical opportunities to educate GPs on the services available within the hospital. Attend appropriate study days & courses. Interrelationships Maintaining an effective interdisciplinary communication process as well as participating in hospital wide communication processes. Provide effective communication tools to maximise GP referrals. Demonstrate willingness to assist co-workers whenever needed. Ensure that timely communication takes place within a pressured environment. Demonstrates the ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities where appropriate. Person Specification Qualification Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Science qualification and Business degree acceptable with previous healthcare experience. Experience Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to develop and maintain businessrelationships required. Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written/presentation), as well as the ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
