Cork city, Ireland | Posted on 09/03/2026OverviewAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to support the procurement and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects within the utilities sector.This role will be responsible for leading contract development, procurement strategy and contract administration across multiple work packages including design, engineering and construction activities.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring contractual compliance, risk management and effective commercial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development, procurement and administration of project contractsSupport the delivery of procurement activities across multiple project workstreamsPrepare and manage contract documentation in coordination with legal and project teamsDevelop packaging strategies and procurement approaches aligned to project objectivesLead supplier negotiations and manage contractual agreementsProvide oversight and assurance across contract performance and complianceManage contract change processes and ensure contractual obligations are metMonitor and manage project costs within contractual frameworksIdentify and manage commercial risks across project contractsSupport procurement processes in line with public procurement requirementsWork collaboratively with project delivery teams, legal advisors and procurement functionsRequirementsMinimum 10 years’ experience in contract management within infrastructure, utilities or major capital projectsExperience developing and managing complex contracts across large projectsStrong knowledge of public procurement frameworks within the utilities sectorExperience with major contract forms such as NEC and FIDICKnowledge of different delivery models including EPC, DB, DBB, DBO, DBFO and PPPExperience administering design and construction contractsStrong commercial awareness including cost management and risk allocationProven experience negotiating and managing supplier contractsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as:Construction ManagementQuantity SurveyingConstruction LawCommercial ManagementProfessional certifications in commercial or contract management are advantageous.Additional RequirementsDemonstrated experience working in complex infrastructure or utilities projectsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills
