We serve sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.The Key Responsibilities Of The RoleDemonstrate control assessment expertise (from internal audit/control testing/issue validation experience).Draft, design and execute a quality control/validation testing plan.Maintain high-quality workpapers and documentation that clearly supports testing reviews and reflects decisions and judgments.Identify and analyze risks; plan and prioritize validation tasks for on-time delivery; conduct interviews, observe operations, document and analyze processes and controls.Lead the execution of assigned regulatory validation projects/deliverables to ensure work is performed promptly and accurately.Develop understanding of business risks, controls, processes, and applicable laws/regulatory rules; understand system impacts within reviewed areas.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders; escalate and communicate issues with a path forward for resolution.Communicate effectively to influence a wide range of stakeholders; demonstrate initiative, project management, decision-making, and cultural awareness.Present and influence effectively.The Successful Candidate Will Benefit From HavingProven experience in financial services or similar consulting within the financial services industry; direct internal audit or testing experience.Test plan writing and execution experience; ability to draft and execute formal quality control/validation testing plans considering risk profile and regulatory requirements.Strong initiative, analytical and decision-making skills; awareness of cultural diversity.Experience executing high-quality internal testing programs for large businesses or regulated environments.Ability to handle critical issues, re-prioritize as needed; form evaluative judgments from complex information.Superior analytical and organizational skills; ability to multitask and adapt quickly.Effective written and oral communication with all staff and management.Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) and/or an MBA with relevant technical abilities are advantageous.Working With UsAs a Northern Trust partner, you will join a flexible, collaborative culture in a financially strong and stable organization committed to innovation and community service.
