Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects and excellent knowledge of standard forms of contract and procurement routes.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all quantity surveying aspects of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account.
2. Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
3. Lead the procurement process including subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and management.
4. Manage project variations, change orders, and ensure timely agreement of accounts.
5. Produce accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts.
6. Provide commercial guidance and leadership to junior staff.
7. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure financial targets and project timelines are achieved.
8. Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and statutory requirements.
9. Support risk management processes and contract administration.
Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 8 years experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience managing the full commercial cycle of medium to large-scale projects.
* Excellent analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in relevant software including Microsoft Office and cost management tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
