We are looking for a driven Graduate Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team. The ideal candidate will assist in creating competitive and precise cost estimates for electrical projects while ensuring that all project documentation is organized, tracked, and maintained effectively. This position is perfect for a recent graduate in Electrical Engineering or a related field who possesses strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and document control expertise.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Maintain accurate records of PIR reports, drawings, images, cost sheets, and more.
* Support the remediation tender process by logging, updating, and ensuring easy access to all documentation.
* Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical upgrades and construction projects, covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
* Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
* Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and clarify technical questions.
* Collaborate with senior estimators to update databases, benchmark costs, and enhance estimation models.
* Ensure adherence to company procedures, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Participate in post-tender reviews and lessons learned sessions.
**Skills & Competencies:**
* Strong document control and organizational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel is essential); experience with Maximo and estimating software is a plus.
* Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
* Capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* A team player with a proactive and professional demeanor.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
* Degree (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying (with a focus on Mechanical Engineering).
* Previous work experience, internships, or exposure to construction or engineering projects is preferred.
* Familiarity with construction contracts and tendering processes is beneficial.
