This position is to join our Professional Scientific Services (PSS) programme as an employee of Eurofins.
The programme places full-time analysts, technicians, scientists and technical support personnel at the client facility to provide long term staffing needs while maintaining the same services, expertise and cGMP compliance available at the Eurofins facility.
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Monitoring Trainee Analyst to join our dynamic team in Kinsale, Ireland.
You will contribute to delivering high-quality microbiology environmental monitoring services to our client.
Responsibilities
Perform Environmental Monitoring in a Biopharmaceutical GMP manufacturing area.
Maintain high aseptic standards by adhering to strict clean room behaviours and gowning procedures.
Carry out routine sampling and incubation for Active Air and Surfaces.
Participate in all training required and scheduled by the Group Leader or the customer.
Be prepared and on time for training and ensure information received is understood.
Execute Non-viable and Viable analysis on Compressed Gas systems.
Complete training records and ensure that all records presented for review and approval meet the appropriate standard.
Perform routine and non-routine analysis as requested by the Group Leader or customer representative.
Prepare and approve results for tests in which you have received the appropriate training and are deemed competent.
Notify immediately to the Group Leader or a customer representative of any anomalous or out of specification results.
Ensure all documentation and laboratory records are up to date and of an appropriate standard.
Approach work with a "Right First Time" mindset to avoid re-work or errors.
Be aware of customer requirements and strive to meet or exceed them, keeping in mind the customer process end points.
Handle customer queries with knowledge, contacting designated personnel with relevant information or issues; escalate as appropriate.
Keep up to date with technological or method revisions, ensure training is complete and adjust work with approval from the Group Leader.
Train and assist more junior staff in analysis techniques as competent.
Perform second person verification checks as required by the laboratory schedule.
Perform QC samples in accordance with customer procedures.
Assist in processing of laboratory consumables, including labeling and acceptance testing.
Revise SOPs and update other documentation as required by the Group Leader.
Provide cover for other staff as required and participate in the customer's weekend rota and/or overtime schedule.
Ensure all documentation is completed on time, is accurate and legible, and conforms to relevant quality standards.
Qualifications
A degree or diploma in microbiology, chemistry, or a related subject.
Experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratory.
Good team player, organised, accurate, with strong documentation skills.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Passionate about quality and customer service.
Good communication skills both internally and externally.
Additional Information
Shift work is required.
Working an 11-hour shift, 08:*******:00 on a biweekly rotating pattern: Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday & Thursday.
