Restaurant Supervisor Opportunity at the 4* Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
The Court Yard Hotel is part of the Moriarty Group, an Irish‑owned company involved in the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three large SuperValu stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels: the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employs 550 staff.
The Role
This is a full‑time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (including weekends and public holidays).
Main Duties
* Assist the Senior Managers in supervising the food/restaurant service of this 4* hotel property which includes a large restaurant, function/conference rooms and multiple bars (internal & external) offering food options.
* Supervise a team of approximately 10 staff working within the restaurant department of the hotel.
* Liaise with the kitchen team on menus/food related matters.
* Assist the operations team with the functions service of the property (bar & food).
* Assist with weekly stocktakes.
* Prepare rosters.
* Staff training and development.
* Drive sales initiatives for the restaurant/food department in conjunction with the hotel's in‑house sales team.
* Cover duty‑management shifts within the hotel property.
* Work closely with the hotel's management team in the day‑to‑day running of this busy property.
* HACCP duties.
* Ensure excellent service is provided to all guests at the hotel's bars, restaurants & events.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Restaurant Supervisor within a busy 3* / 4* hotel property - this experience is essential.
* HACCP trained.
* Ability to multi‑task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the hotel.
* Excellent knowledge of the food industry and new initiatives/innovations taking place within the industry.
* Strong knowledge of bar service, wine and people management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
* Enthusiastic and a quick learner.
