Job Description
Theatre nurses work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide expert care for patients undergoing surgery or other medical procedures. Your duties may include preparing operating rooms, assisting with anaesthesia administration, and providing post-operative care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless communication throughout the patient journey.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in nursing (BScN) from an accredited program
* Current registration as a professional nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
* A minimum of two years' experience working as a theatre nurse in an acute hospital setting
* Demonstrated expertise in administering anaesthetics, managing surgical sites, and adhering to infection control protocols
