Client: Leading Residential Developer
Essentials: Degree in Quantity Surveying; 7–10+ years' post-graduate experience with a PQS or contractor; expertise in procurement and cost management; experience in modern methods of construction and residential developments in Ireland; proficiency in Cubit, Cost-X, or similar cost management software.
Location: Office based in Central Dublin
Salary: €90,000

Our client, a market leader in residential construction, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their newly established Group Procurement Function. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence and refine procurement strategies while working in a high-growth environment. * Procurement Strategy & Process Improvement : Identify and implement enhancements to procurement processes while contributing to long-term team strategy.
* Digital Procurement Development : Support the rollout of digital procurement strategies to enable scalability in a growing organisation.
* Category & Supply Chain Management : Develop category plans for key subcontractor packages, mitigating risks and maximising opportunities within the supply chain.
* Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including Project Managers, Technical, and Cost Management, to ensure timely procurement activities.
* Tender & Cost Analysis : Review subcontract packages, conduct tender benchmarking, negotiate high-value contracts, and provide strategic recommendations.
* Standardisation & Documentation : Drive improvements in procurement documentation, ensuring standardised Bills of Quantities structures for efficient tender analysis and supplier usability.
* Market & Industry Insights : Track and report on wider industry trends, overseeing the inflation tracker and contributing to sustainable procurement initiatives.
* Innovation & Modern Methods of Construction : Engage in comparative analysis of new products and construction technologies to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
* Sustainable Procurement Practices : Champion sustainable procurement initiatives within the organisation and across the supply chain.
