The Role:
Ace Autobody is a busy panelbeating / crash repair garage in Portlaoise.
As a key member of our bodyshop administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of parts and materials to support our repair operations, delivering an exceptional standard of service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and processing parts and consumables.
* Source and order parts promptly as requested by estimators and branch manager.
* Generate and manage purchase orders using the bodyshop management system.
* Accurately match deliveries to purchase orders and verify pricing between management systems.
* Coordinate daily parts deliveries and returns with suppliers.
* Monitor and manage stock levels of paint and consumables to ensure uninterrupted workshop operations.
The Person:
Required Experience:
* Previous experience working in a motor trade parts role (motor factor parts advisor, parts administrator, dealership parts department, or bodyshop parts supply).
* Proven ability to manage parts orders and stock control systems in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong understanding of automotive parts and paint/consumable products.
* High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills with internal departments, external suppliers, and manufacturers.
* Ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Full valid driver's license essential.
* Flexibility and a proactive attitude to support the needs of a busy bodyshop.
Desirable:
* Technical or mechanical background in the motor industry is a distinct advantage.
* Experience using bodyshop management or estimating systems (e.g., Audatex, Bodyshop Management Systems).
