HRM is partnering with a firm to recruit an Network Architect for a strategic role focused on delivering security-driven network projects and architectural change.
In this role, you will act as the primary interface between the Cyber Security Project Team and Network Operations, taking ownership of complex designs from concept through to delivery. This position requires a high-level technical lead capable of enhancing an organization's security posture while maintaining alignment with critical operational requirements.
Duration: Full-time 12 Month Day Rate Contract
Location: Hybrid / Dublin - 3 days onsite
Mandatory Requirement: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) qualification is essential.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for Cyber Security projects, delivering network-related security initiatives on a critical 24x7 operations network.
Architectural Design: Develop and implement industry-standard best practice network designs to ensure scalability, resilience, and security.
Security Implementation: Configure and manage Cisco NGFW features (IPS, Security Intelligence, EVE) and develop secure segmentation strategies aligned with zero-trust principles.
Datacentre Management: Design and implement enterprise datacentre networks using ACI fabric design, including tenants, VRFs, and bridge domains.
Application Delivery: Design and optimize application delivery using Citrix Netscaler, including L4-L7 load balancing and WAF.
Operations & Mentoring: Provide third-level technical expertise, resolve escalated issues, and mentor second-line staff to assist in their development.
Experience
Certification: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is a must-have. CISSP qualification is considered optional but advantageous.
Core Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and TCP/IP is essential.
Technical Proficiency:
Deep expertise in Cisco firewalls, ACI Networks, LAN/WAN, and VPN systems.
Experience with Identity & Access Management (I&AM) and Security Architecture design.
Proficiency with automation tools including Python, Ansible, and REST APIs.
Specialized Skills: Threat management, vulnerability assessment, and working knowledge of ITIL practices regarding change management.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and documentation skills are required to shape architectures that meet business and regulatory expectations.
