The Engineering Facilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all surface and site facilities are maintained to high operational and safety standards.
This role involves monitoring site conditions, managing contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) regulations.
The coordinator plays a key role in supporting efficient, compliant, and high-performing surface and mill operations through effective planning, coordination, and execution of site services.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage contracts related to surface maintenance activities.
Oversee logistics and compliance for concentrate transport operations.
Supervise all site services and evaluate contractor performance.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning for the mill department.
Support procurement processes for equipment and services.
Lead and contribute to site improvement projects and operational initiatives.
Participate in regular management meetings and provide operational updates.
Track project progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery.
Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for surface maintenance.
Design and deliver training programs for surface operations personnel.
Ensure full compliance with EHS and HR policies and standards.
Maintain digital systems for contract management and safety documentation.
Monitor and report on contractor KPIs and service performance metrics.
Promote sustainability and environmental stewardship across site operations.
Participate in emergency response planning and incident investigations.
Qualifications and Experience: Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related technical field.
Additional qualifications in Business, Operations, or similar disciplines are acceptable.
Certifications in industrial or technical safety are highly desirable.
Training in maintenance, production, or project management is beneficial.
Strong IT skills and experience with digital systems are preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations or facilities management.
Demonstrated experience in contractor oversight, compliance, and project coordination.
