You will be responsible for reviewing requirements, designing test strategies, automating test cases, and ensuring robust test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle. This role demands strong collaboration, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement.Role and Responsibilities:Embracing Agile principles and practicing Scrum, you will take responsibility for delivery of assigned projects from inception through to delivery, by providing:Review requirements (functional and non-functional) and design specifications, which may include interacting with subject matter experts to understand requirements, processes, and metrics, to ensure appropriate test coverage. Highlight any issues discovered during the review processIdentify and communicate test plan / cases to automate based on automation framework and approachCreate and execute test scenarios and test cases, maintaining requirements traceabilityConduct formal test case review sessions and incorporate feedbackIdentify test data requirements. Communicate test data requirements early; working with team to ensure test data will be available prior to test phase commencement.Execute testing according to the guidelines detailed in test strategy and test planEvaluate deviations from expected results to determine risk, impact, and priority of defectsConcisely document defects, ensuring the test steps are repeatable for replication of defects.Identify and track issues, risks, and action itemsParticipate in daily stand-ups, escalating issues as appropriateWork with vendors, global team, and local team to address any defectsProduce test result metrics and reporting to track test progress and quality effectivenessStrong time management, prioritization, and organizations skillsIdentify potential process improvementsSkills and Experience:As a Test Automation Engineer, you will have:Experience with Test Management softwareDefect management tools (i.e. JIRA)Understanding of current technologies, Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), Agile/Scrum Development methodologiesBehaviour Driven Development (BDD)Testing RESTful APIs (using Postman or other)Nice to have:AWS exposure, or other cloud development frameworksExperience in Load-Testing (LoadRunner / JMeter or other)Structured Products / Cross-Asset class productsDelta Capita is an equal opportunity employer.
