The Finance Manager plays a vital role in nourishing those foundations — ensuring every number tells a story, every process scales sustainably, and every decision helps us grow smarter.
You’ll oversee the financial rhythm of the business, keeping things accurate, compliant, and insightful across multiple entities. You’ll partner closely with our restaurant managers and leadership team, shaping financial strategy as we expand, and embedding systems and habits that help Sprout thrive — today and into the future.

5 Key Responsibilities (What You Do Day-to-Day)
Month-End & Reporting
Complete month-end accounts for all group entities (currently 7, growing to 12).
Prepare monthly financial reports and insight for Board Executives.
Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments, accruals, intercompany balances, and fixed assets with depreciation schedules.
Business Partnering & Performance
Partner with restaurant managers to review entity performance against budget.
Identify opportunities for smarter cost management and operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain cost centre reporting for departments like Marketing, Team Experience, and New Business Development.
Cashflow & Forecasting
Prepare reconciled cashflow reports and forward-looking forecasts.
Ensure clear visibility of cash position and future funding needs, supporting confident decision-making.
Accounts Payable & Payroll
Oversee the full AP cycle, managing bi-monthly pay runs.
Drive automation and efficiency while keeping strong purchase controls in place.
Manage the relationship with our outsourced payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for every team member.
Audit, Tax & Compliance
Lead the year-end audit process and coordinate CT returns for all group companies.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Contribute to shaping Sprout’s long-term financial strategy as we expand into new sites and markets.

Skills & Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent, with solid industry experience.
* Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax compliance.
* Confident preparing financial accounts for multi-entity businesses.
* Highly proficient in Excel and ERP systems (SAP or similar).
* Analytical thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
* A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for both detail and the bigger picture.
* Collaborative by nature — thrives working cross-functionally with restaurant and central teams.
