What You’ll Do
As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the full software lifecycle — from architecture and design through development, verification, and release — for embedded systems in next‑generation medical devices.
You will:
* Design, implement, and maintain high-quality embedded software using C and C++.
* Develop and validate software architectures that meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
* Lead software engineering activities under IEC 62304 and related standards.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in hardware, systems, and quality to ensure seamless integration.
* Drive design reviews, risk analyses, and code audits.
* Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices in software development and documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of software processes, tools, and compliance systems.
Who You’ll Be
You are an accomplished embedded software engineer who combines deep technical expertise with leadership and accountability.
You bring:
* A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 8 years’ professional experience in embedded software development.
* Proven experience delivering software for medical devices or similarly regulated products.
* Strong skills in C and C++, with experience in real‑time systems, microcontrollers, or embedded Linux.
* A solid understanding of embedded architectures, peripherals, and debugging tools.
* Working knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA/CE requirements.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring mindset.
