The Role:
EY Ireland is seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate to join our Corporate Communications team (as part of our external communications team)
The successful candidate will join a fun, hardworking, collaborative and successful team, helping us to deliver high impact media releases and messaging across a wide range of campaigns and media projects.
The successful applicant will be curious, have excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail, a creative flair and will be very well organised.
They will be capable of working on their own initiative, and as part of a team, and they will enjoy working in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role will be based at EY Ireland's office in Dublin 2.
Your key responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of external communication strategies to enhance the firm's reputation and visibility.
Help prepare and coordinate communications materials including press releases, reactive media commentary, articles for media placement, etc
Engage with national, regional and trade media daily regarding EY coverage.
Assist in the planning and execution of media events, including photocalls and press briefings.
Monitor media coverage and provide analysis and reports to senior management.
Support the day-to-day operations of the Communications team
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
At least 2 years of experience in journalism, PR agency or in house communications
A curious mind and a passion for media in all its forms – from national and international publications, through to regional and trade media.
Good media relations skills and ideally a network of media contacts.
Proven ability to contribute creative ideas to the team in campaign planning and in the creation of content.
Compelling written and verbal communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people at all levels across all areas of the business.
Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines as required.
An interest in and experience of leveraging technology to work efficiently.
Ideally, you will also have
Previous experience in an organisation of significant scale
Experience working with Generative AI (for example Microsoft Copilot)
