We are looking to fill a teaching role where your day would be split between being a one-on-one AIM support teachers with a child with Autism (9am-12pm each day) and being an in ration teacher with one of the preschool classrooms for the remainder of the day.
Morning Role: AIM Support Teacher Responsibilities Work with a child who requires additional support with learning.
Track child's growth through observations and progress reports.
Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of the child Meet with your teaching colleagues and manager to discuss the child's needs, share development updates and align in goals with core classroom instruction.
Provide input for parent updates on child's progress.
Afternoon Role: In-Rotation Classroom Teacher Partnering with the lead/classroom teacher to support all students.
Responsibilities Rotate with your key worker group of children during lessons, providing small-group instruction, reteaching, or enrichment.
Assist the lead teacher with planning, classroom activities, and projects.
Share responsibility for maintaining a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
Support child participation, clarify directions, and scaffold learning using the montessori method Assist with observations, learning journals and theme work.
Work alongside your team members with affective communication Requirements: Minimum of a Level 5 in Early Years education (if you have an alternative educational qualification, this will need to be approved by the DCEDIY in order for you to work in the childcare sector) Qualifications in Special Education would be desired but not essential Experience working with children who need additional support At least 1 years xxperience in a preschool classroom with children ranging from 2.5yrs - 5yrs.
