Job Description
The Vhi Group Technology is seeking a highly skilled Application Support professional to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role will be based in either Dublin or Kilkenny and will involve working on a hybrid basis, with occasional travel to the Vhi 360 Health Centre sites.
As an Application Support specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of our dedicated systems run smoothly. You will serve as the first point of contact for system issues that arise, collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve challenges and improve business performance.
Your primary focus will be on the new Cerner and PBRC Billing solution(s), where you will troubleshoot incidents, configure systems, provide technical support, and perform problem-solving and change control tasks.
You will also be responsible for managing application enhancements to improve business performance, drafting and maintaining procedures and documentation, and working with subject matter experts to define requirements and prioritize activities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Deal with problems and issues, manage resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and collect and share relevant information.
* Implement stakeholder engagement/communications plans.
* Manage application enhancements to improve business performance.
* Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for applications support.
* Work with subject matter experts to define, scope, manage requirements, and prioritize activities for system enhancements and business initiatives.
* Facilitate input from stakeholders, provide constructive feedback.
* Establish efficient, cost-effective solutions, obtain formal agreement for requirements, and ensure traceability to source.
* Provide support on the use of existing methods and tools, create and update concise documentation.
* Investigate escalated, non-routine, and high-impact incidents, seek resolution, and facilitate recovery.
* Identify and report issues and risks.
* Put in place operational processes for secure configuration, classification, and management of configuration.
* Report on configuration status, identify problems, recommend corrective actions.
* Use approved tools and techniques for specific deployment activities.
* Administer recording of activities, logging of results, and documenting technical activities undertaken.
* Manage operational reporting (run directly within Cerner Millennium and/or PBRC).
* Support resolution of supplier-related incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance, collect and report on supplier performance data.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working with EHR or Billing or Claims systems in a Health/Claims environment.
* A relevant third-level qualification and/or experience.
* Good working knowledge and hands-on experience working with relevant software applications (e.g., EHR & Billing applications and/or other claims apps).
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
* Good working knowledge of one or more Claims/Billing, FirstNet/Urgent Care, Meds Mgt, Order Comms, Clinical XR Rpt & Docs, Patient Registration & Scheduling business processes.
* Proven experience in design and build to advise and complete basic to complex application configurations.
