To provide services in line with our Vision, Mission, and Values, where the delivery of exceptional quality person centred care is their focus.The successful applicant will be offered the opportunity for training and development so that we can achieve the best outcome for our residents, while at the same time supporting our staff in their professional development.Job ObjectivesThe Role of The Behavioural Specialist has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, high quality, team based, and clinical support to individual service users with intellectual disability, behaviours of concern and complex needs.Conducting comprehensive functional behavioural assessmentsDevelop appropriate interventions and positive behavioural supports in line with best practiceMonitor and evaluate positive behavioural support plansTo work with other staff in preparation for multi-disciplinary reviewsTo attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetingsTo work within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional codes of conduct and clinical governanceDevelop and deliver appropriate staff training in positive behavioural supportBe informed of advances in professional knowledge and practice by continuing professional developmentAttend appropriate CPDTo work within the appropriate boundaries of confidentialityTo communicate well with professionals, both in the multi-disciplinary team and with other agenciesTo communicate effectively and sensitively with residents and staffAdministrationQualificationsRole Requirements:Primary Degree in PsychologyPost-graduate qualification in Behavioural Analysis or equivalentEssential ExperienceMinimum one years' experience with adults with disabilities including Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health and Physical DisabilityDesirableBoard Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)Rewards & BenefitsComprehensive induction processExtensive training programmeOn-going mentoring and supportContinuous Professional Development supportCareer progression opportunitiesCompetitive salary with increments based on scope of role, qualifications, and experience.40 hour week (all breaks paid)Service based recognition awards€500 refer a friend initiativeEmployee Assistance Programme for staff and their familiesBike-to-Work SchemeFree onsite Car ParkingIf you are excited by this opportunity and would like to join our team as a Behavioural Specialist we would like to hear from you.Talbot Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer.To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
