A growing deep‑tech engineering company based in Cork, Ireland is looking for an RF Engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team developing next‑generation microwave and millimetre‑wave technology.
The successful RF Engineer will contribute to the design and development of advanced RF and mmWave components and subsystems used across high‑performance applications including wireless communications, radar, remote sensing and test & measurement systems.
This opportunity would suit an RF Engineer looking to further develop their expertise in RF and mmWave design within a highly specialised engineering environment focused on innovation and advanced technologies.
The RF Engineer will support the design, analysis and testing of RF, microwave and millimetre‑wave components and subsystems, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Responsibilities
Design and development of RF, microwave and millimetre‑wave components and subsystems
Performing electromagnetic simulations and system modelling
Supporting testing and validation of RF designs using standard RF measurement equipment
Producing design documentation, reports and technical specifications
Collaborating with commercial teams to translate customer requirements into engineering solutions
Supporting product development activities from concept through to validation
Skills & Experience
Degree (BEng/MEng/MSc) in Electronics, Physics or a related discipline
Experience designing and testing RF, microwave or mmWave components or systems
Familiarity with EM simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST or AWR
Understanding of RF measurement techniques using equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analysers and signal generators
Comfortable working within a collaborative R&D environment
