About your new job: The Service Technician plays a vital role within the entire business. They are responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, monitoring, and breakdown support of biomass boilers.
Key Responsibilities as a Mechanical Engineer:
* Strong communication and report-writing skills — must be able to clearly document how tasks were carried out, work completed, and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements.
* Capture detailed on-site images as part of job documentation.
* Work safely at all times, ensuring that all safety procedures are followed and that equipment is maintained in safe working condition.
* Act as the main on-site point of contact for customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
* Deliver technical and service training to customers on-site when required.
* Ensure the service vehicle is well-stocked with all necessary parts and equipment for servicing and repairs.
What skill/experience you need as a Mechanical Engineer:
* Technical, mechanical, and/or electrical background in boiler maintenance, with experience working with single-phase and three-phase power.
* Good understanding of plumbing systems.
* Resourceful and proactive problem solver.
* Strong communication skills and good computer literacy.
* Full, clean driving licence.
