Overview
Tech Portfolio Delivery Lead role at Marsh McLennan. The role is based in Dublin, Ireland and is a hybrid position requiring three days in the office each week.
Responsibilities
* Formulate the portfolio technology vision.
* Partner with business leaders to create and execute a multi-year vision for the portfolio of applications.
* Coordinate IT deliveries across products in collaboration with Product Delivery Engineering (PDE) Leads.
* Review technical debt and obsolescence.
* Manage the overall Portfolio budget and allocation to products.
* Define and prioritise Portfolio Objectives.
* Work with PDE to ensure software delivery is lean, agile, smooth and efficient from requirements to production.
* Focus on value creation, growth and serving customers.
* Ensure Pods and Squads are staffed with skilled individuals by coordinating with PDE Leadership or internal resource providers.
* Act as an Agile Portfolio Delivery Expert, preferably with experience of running lean portfolios and strong knowledge of the processes and practices needed for successful and sustainable delivery.
* Coordinate the reception and industrialisation of AI initiatives into the Portfolio.
What you need to have
* Proven experience in managing the technology strategy of one or more products.
* A broad understanding of technology and how it can be used to solve business problems.
* Experience in a senior leadership position and in partnering with senior business leaders to define strategies and product roadmaps.
* Experience in technology strategy and roadmap planning together with budgeting.
* Excellent stakeholder management and business engagement skills; ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to present effectively to senior business leaders.
* Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
What makes you stand out
* Any of the following technical qualifications would be beneficial: SAFe SPC or ASPC, SAFe Lean Portfolio Management.
* Previous experience in senior Agile Portfolio management (e.g., Solutions Train Engineer, Senior Tribe Lead, or Lean Portfolio Manager).
* Broad technical understanding to support Agile credentials from software architecture through test, DevOps practices, security and operations.
* Experience in the Insurance domain is mandatory; broking is desirable.
