We are currently seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to work with us on a project in Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide full support in managing contracts by ensuring smooth administration during the construction phase and effective transition into operational phases of the project
Lead contract administration for construction and operational phases, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions
Manage Consultancy and Advisor Contracts, fulfilling all contractual obligations efficiently
Maintain and oversee contract manuals, processes, and procedures for claims, meetings, and communications, ensuring timely resolution or escalation of issues
Organise and maintain accurate contract filing and documentation systems for easy reference and audit
Oversee financial management operations, ensuring adherence to procedures and meticulous record-keeping
Select and implement contract administration systems (e.g., CEMAR) during procurement
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks during construction and operational phases
Perform other duties as required by the role
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years of contract administration experience and at least 5 years' experience leading contract administration activities across the project lifecycle of high-value metro rail projects
At least a Bachelor degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Business or a related field
Master's degree (M.Sc.) in a related field would be advantageous
Experience managing large Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contracts
Skilled in administering contracts, with particular expertise in the NEC suite
Proven history of handling commercial agreements, demonstrating legal awareness of contract risks, and drafting complex, bespoke contract terms for supplies, services, and framework agreements
Demonstrated ability to drive best practice across technical activities, processes, policies, and standards
Deep understanding of the design and delivery requirements for complex projects in architecture, engineering, and construction
Skilled at engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels to improve processes and provide guidance for project delivery and reporting
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement systems, preferably within the construction industry
NEC Reg
Chartered member of a relevant professional body, e.g. Chartered Engineer (MICE, IEI or equivalent) or Chartered Quantity Surveyor (SCSI / RICS)
Proven skill in managing contractor relationships at both executive and operational levels
Demonstrated ability to oversee technical deliverables and drive process efficiency
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
Strong governance and outcome-driven approach to consistently deliver high-quality service
