Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all plant equipment and systems, supporting production through proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine inspections and execute preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults and perform repairs across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative maintenance schedules
Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise downtime
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date maintenance records and documentation
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
Liaise with external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance work
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
Support the training and development of junior maintenance personnel
Utilise the site CMMS system to manage work orders and maintenance planning
Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging maintenance technologies
Requirements
Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing processing environment (FMCG experience highly desirable)
Strong technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Demonstrated experience in fault finding, troubleshooting, and equipment repair
Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
