Your Role We are seeking a qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist with strong fire engineering expertise to join a multidisciplinary team working on projects nationwide.
You'll play a key role in developing fire strategies, managing compliance, and supporting design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include: Developing fire strategies using TGD Part B & M, BS9999, BS5588, FM and NFPA standards.
Preparing and lodging Fire Safety Certificates and Disabled Access Certificates via BCMS.
Advising internal teams on building regulation matters.
Leading fire strategy discussions with clients, design teams, and statutory bodies.
Supporting BCAR compliance and conducting fire inspections during construction.
Training junior staff in fire engineering principles.
Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations.
You'll also contribute to project proposals, scopes, and budgets, and be involved in all stages of project delivery-from schematic design to construction.
Criteria Essential Qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist with 5+ years' experience.
Background in fire safety and disabled access certification.
Strong understanding of fire safety engineering and relevant codes (Part B & M, BS9999, BS5588).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of architectural design standards and building regulations.
Familiarity with BCAR and BCMS.
Desirable Postgraduate or bachelor's degree in fire engineering.
Experience with REVIT and BIM.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong client-facing and team collaboration skills.
