Ohshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components.
Job DescriptionDevelop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup.Interpret and work from technical drawings, models, and specifications.Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure components meet required tolerances.Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to improve efficiency and accuracy.Ensure compliance with company quality standards and health & safety regulations.Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine settings, and modifications.Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.Provide training and mentorship to junior machinists and operators on CNC programming, machine setup, and best practices.Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100/Other Quality Standards.Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.Required Skills & Qualifications:3 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining preferable.Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming.Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desired but not essential.Familiarity with Hypermill Software desired but not essential.Familiarity with Heidenhain controllers desired but not essential.Ability to inspect parts using callipers, micrometres, and CMMs.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Training will be provided in areas where skills and knowledge gaps are identified.*Please note that this role requires candidates to be currently residing in Ireland with a valid work permit.
