Mobile Medical Diagnostics, MMD, are the only fully licensed mobile x-ray service in Ireland. Our mantra is moving equipment not patients and our mission is to bring quality care and diagnostics to communities in a clinically compliant manner. We provide a community-based radiology services solution, resulting in improved access to x-ray for our clients. Our clients include Nursing Homes, Transitional Care Units, Hospices, Intellectual Disability Centres and Private dwellings where most patients have physical and or cognitive impairments and a transfer to hospital is challenging.
MMD are seeking to fulfil a role for the position of Radiology Services Manager to join our dynamic and Patient-centred team. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
· Support planning, organising and coordinating all aspects of the service. delivering a professional and comprehensive digital radiography service.
· Support the radiographers in their duties, training and equipment management
· Work with Senire Management on Clinical Governance systems to ensure the delivery of the highest possible standard of care to patients.
· Support administration staff with clinical queries and RIS/PACS.
· Align workforce to meet contractual requirements with the HSE, Health insurers and referrers. This will involve occasional clinical work when required if locums are not available.
· Support the Senior Management with recruitment and retention of a high-quality clinical workforce
· Project implementation - we are a fast-growing company where new projects are continually coming onstream so opportunities will arise to lead projects and/or be part of the project team
· Business development with the Senior Management to identify new business opportunities. Develop new and maintain existing working relationships with Nursing homes, organisations, including referring physicians.
· Support and further develop a culture of continuous practice development (CPD) with education/training, research and audit supporting staff to keep up-to-date with the latest imaging techniques
· Support an open culture in terms of clinical quality and all aspects of staff /patient health and safety which encourages incident reporting and continued learning.
· Ensure compliance with our regulators, the EPA and HIQA with the required documentation, training and audit trails implemented.
· Participate in the staff development and individual performance review process.
· Support Implementation and maintenance of Quality Management framework metrics.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Equivalent
· Coru registration
Experience:
* Minimum of 6 years post qualification experience in a Senior Clinical Role
