Job Description
We're looking for a
Staff Product Security Engineer
to lead security strategy and drive secure?by?design practices across a portfolio of complex, connected medical technologies. You'll set the technical direction, guide a security engineering team, and embed strong security controls throughout the full product lifecycle — from architecture and development to post?market monitoring and incident response.
In this role, you'll define security requirements, lead threat modelling and risk assessments, support secure architecture decisions, and partner closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, IT, and penetration?testing teams. You'll ensure every product meets modern cybersecurity expectations through robust encryption, authentication, hardening, logging, vulnerability management, and system?level security validation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a high?performing Product Security team.
* Define and drive product security architecture and secure?by?design principles.
* Run threat modelling, risk assessments, design reviews, and vulnerability remediation.
* Implement security controls across embedded systems, software, connectivity, and cloud interfaces.
* Guide engineering teams in interpreting and applying security requirements.
* Support incident response, security documentation, and regulatory?aligned deliverables.
* Track, measure, and report product security posture across the portfolio.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
* 5+ years in product security, cybersecurity architecture, or secure software development.
* Strong knowledge of encryption, PKI, embedded device security, and network security.
* Experience with static/dynamic code analysis and vulnerability assessment tools.
* Ability to lead teams and influence cross?functional engineering groups.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working in regulated environments.
