The candidate will be expected to have some knowledge in mechanical systems, be familiar with P&IDs, and have broad knowledge of CSA and E&I. This role will involve working in collaboration with our Sustaining and Site Services Team as a Project Manager / Project Engineer or Program Manager for medium and small‑scale projects in the Pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will report to the Jacobs Director of Project for Sustaining Capital and Site Services.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Broad technical knowledge in pharmaceutical equipment and installations
Familiarity with project lifecycles from early concept to detail design and implementation
Broad knowledge of project governance, including progress measurement, change management, and reporting
Commercial awareness of project performance
Ability to coordinate multi‑discipline project execution
Appreciation of a strong health and safety culture in everything we do
Ability to develop and adhere to project schedules
Knowledge of quality management systems and adherence to their implementation
Ability to self‑motivate, promote team collaboration, and engage with clients, design partners, and project teams
Contractual awareness for the administration of pharma projects
Qualifications and Experience
Degree qualified in an appropriate management, engineering subject, or equivalent
5–10 years of engineering experience, either pharma site‑based or pharma design background
Proficient knowledge of project management processes and procedures
Proficient execution planning skills
Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and practices
Strong in organising and managing complex project activities
Working knowledge of project control systems
Knowledge of proposals and bid processes
Understanding of engineering estimate basis
Understanding of contractual requirements for the project
Preferred Qualifications
Chartered or incorporated through a relevant professional institution, or willingness to achieve this with full support from Jacobs
Demonstrable knowledge of writing project quality and delivery plans
Good understanding of the technical work in the biotech/pharma sector
Demonstrable knowledge of undertaking earned value analysis on projects
