Customer Applications Specialist Renewable Connections Team Location: Dublin 18 (Hybrid Working)Contract Type: 12-Month Contract Start Date: March 2026 Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:45 Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading organisation within the Irish electricity sector in recruiting a Customer Applications Specialist to join their Renewable Connections team on a 12-month contract basis.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth of renewable energy connections within Ireland's electricity distribution system.
The Role The Customer Applications Specialist will support the delivery, development, and implementation of renewable generation connection processes.
The primary focus of the role is to manage, track, and process renewable generator applications from initial submission through to final connection.
The position involves regular engagement with customers and key stakeholders, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently and professionally.
The successful candidate will also contribute to improving systems, enhancing long-term processes, and supporting policy implementation relating to renewable generator connections.
Key Responsibilities Process and manage a high volume of renewable generator applications from initial application through to system connection Support the wider team in delivering accurate and timely application processing Engage with customers and key stakeholders on a daily basis Manage and resolve generator-related queries within and outside the immediate team Support the maintenance and accuracy of relevant public-facing information Contribute to cross-functional projects focused on process improvement and system development Implement generator connection policies and applicable regulatory requirements Build strong internal relationships to support an efficient end-to-end generator connection process Develop and maintain reporting on project status and connection offers Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential Experience dealing professionally with customers and stakeholders Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Share Point)Proven ability to manage high workloads accurately and within deadlines Experience working in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills Ability to work independently and resolve issues proactively Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to support colleagues Awareness of key technical aspects of electricity systems and renewable generation technologies Desirable Experience working with renewable generator installations or grid connections Experience engaging with electricity industry stakeholders Familiarity with SAP systems Qualifications Third-level qualification (or equivalent relevant work experience)Location & Working Arrangement This role is based in Dublin 18, with a hybrid working model in place.
The successful candidate will combine remote working with in-office collaboration as agreed with the hiring manager.
