The banking environment we operate in is governed by strict regulation, accounting rules and legislation. As a Senior Manager within our Credit Risk Group, you'll be joining our growing team in a key role. Our goal is to support our clients in the challenging credit environment. You will have strong experience in developing and strengthening credit risk frameworks and models. You will apply your previous experience in the financial services industry to generate value bringing industry insights to our clients.

You will be a highly motivated professional who can apply your knowledge and experience to new and developing situations by providing innovative solutions and practical insights. You will have experience leading projects and developing junior staff, including technical training and coaching. You will need to be adaptive and proactive in keeping up-to-date with emerging best practices while also contributing to thought leadership. You will have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop strong client relationships.

The Role:

1. Manage and deliver a wide range of both core credit risk assignments while supportingmultidisciplinary engagements in wider fields.

2. Act as clients’ main point of day-to-day contact on engagements and liaise with Partner and Director.

3. Lead and manage staff effectively in order to ensure the highest quality and timely delivery of engagements.

4. Lead or contribute to the development of new consulting opportunities, including opportunities to partner with other professionals in the firm in the areas of Corporate Finance, Banking and Enterprise Risk Management.

5. Be a committed team leader and take an active role in supporting the strategic management and running of the practice.

6. Be an innovative thinker who contributes to thought leadership.

7. Be willing to occasionally travel to support engagements within our European network.

8. Develop and expand our credit risk service offering.

9. Deliver and communicate the outcome of our work in a clear and concise way.

Requirements:

10. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in credit risk management from either a consultancy or industry background

11. A strong background in Retail or Corporate Credit Risk

12. A strong background in management of model development, implementation, maintenance and related frameworks

13. An honours degree in mathematics, statistics or another discipline including a significant numerical element or similar Postgraduate qualification and/ or with a recognised qualification in relation to Risk Management or Risk Modelling and experience of regulatory requirements for credit risk models.

14. Proven track record of the utilisation of models to resolve real life business problems

15. Experience in leading complex projects and developing teams

16. Ability to deliver and achieve results within demanding timescales.

17. Strong communication, presentation and report writing skills: Proficient use of Word/Excel/PowerPoint and a willingness to share learning and develop insights.
