This role offers the opportunity to be part of an established planning team, supporting forward planning, analysis, development control, and construction activities. Responsibilities include research and administration to support the planning team, monitoring planning applications nationwide, extracting relevant data, and presenting findings to inform decision-making within Cairn.
The role involves conducting research across various geographic locations and sectors to influence Cairn's development projects. It also includes analyzing data such as development plans, CSO statistics, geographical info, and employment centers to identify future opportunities. A key aspect is presenting data clearly and effectively. Additionally, administrative tasks related to planning compliance will be part of the role.
Key responsibilities:
1. Conduct targeted research in specific geographical areas, employment sectors, and infrastructural projects.
2. Maintain a monitoring database of relevant developments.
3. Assist in ensuring timely delivery of statutory certification and planning compliance documentation.
4. Undertake site visits and feasibility studies for potential sites.
5. Support the planning team with compliance tracking, calendar management, monthly reports, and general admin.
Candidate requirements:
* NFQ Level 8 qualification (Bachelor's degree) or relevant professional qualification with 1-2 years' experience.
* Strong analytical and IT skills.
* Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
* GIS mapping experience is desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail.
* A clean driving license and access to a car are desirable.
