Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Bread Production Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in bread making who is passionate about contributing ideas and helping us develop new products.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily bread production to meet quality and quantity targets. They will also be expected to follow recipes and procedures with precision and consistency, maintain hygiene and food safety standards at all times, collaborate with the team on new product development, operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently, mix ingredients and scale dough, perform manual handling duties safely and efficiently throughout the day, and clean equipment and utensils daily.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily bread production to meet quality and quantity targets
* FOLLOW recipes and procedures with precision and consistency
* Maintain hygiene and food safety standards at all times
* Collaborate with the team on new product development
* Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently
* Mix ingredients and scale dough
* Perform manual handling duties safely and efficiently throughout the day
* Clean equipment and utensils daily
Requirements:
* Bakery experience or food production experience essential
* Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards
* High standard of work and excellent work ethic
* Excellent communication, team-player
* Strong time management skills
* Flexible and adaptable to change
* High level of motivation to produce high-quality produce
* Goal orientated
* Knowledge of HACCP and BRC desirable
* Good numeracy skills essential
* Good physical fitness (position will require lifting loads above shoulder level and below knee level)
