Key Responsibilities:As part of our Electrical Apprenticeship, you'llget to study towards and achieve an Electrical Instrumentation qualificationThis will give you a broad appreciation of engineering principles and applications.You will be ready to embark on a series of placements working alongside our expert engineering teams, while making a real contribution to an advanced engineering & technology businessYou will gain and apply practical and technical knowledge in a range of different subjects and department areas allowing you to develop personal skills while interacting with people from all parts of the business.Training:During your apprenticeship, you will receive two different typesof training.'On-the-job' training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer. You'llreceive training and supervision to help you perform the job you'vebeen hired to do. This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role. As well as providing 'on-the-job' training, it is important that we support you in additionalways to ensure your success.Types of support will include:A comprehensive inductionMentoring or regular one-to-one guidanceSocial enrichment and networking opportunitiesPerformance reviewsMental health and wellbeing supportFeedback opportunities'Off-the-job' training is delivered by one of our carefully selected Training Providers during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing 'off-the-job' training. This is protectedtime and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behavioursset out in the apprenticeship standard so you can achieve occupational competence.Work Pattern38hoursper week to be workedfrom Monday to Friday.Exact start and finish times are to be agreed upon with Line Manager. Some of these hours will be allocatedto off-the-job training as part of your Apprenticeship Programme.Skills and AttributesEssentialHold a Full Ireland Driving LicenseDemonstrable interest in electrical engineeringAbility to work efficiently and accuratelyThe ability to work as a team member and possessgood interpersonal, communication, and literacy skills.Highly motivated, a desire to learn, and a good record of attendance.High levelof flexibility and dependabilityEducationGrade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent**PreviousExperience Required**No pre-requisite experience requiredbut a demonstrable interest in engineering through school or hobby interests.Visa SponsorshipPlease note that we are unfortunately unable to provide visa sponsorship for our apprenticeship positions.
