Our client, a leading professional services firm with offices nationwide now have an exciting opening for a Payroll Specialist to join their growing team based in their Limerick office.

Location:Limerick City Hybrid:3 days WFH (Tuesdays and Wednesdays onsite) Hours:9:00 am to 5:30 pm (Monday Friday) The Role: This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a busy payroll bureau environment, providing outsourced payroll services to a diverse range of clients, from multinational corporations to owner-managed businesses and public sector bodies.
The ideal candidate will be IPASS qualified with experience in payroll systems and a passion for delivering efficient, accurate payroll solutions.
You will be part of a dynamic team, handling everything from payroll processing to client management.
Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Payroll Management team with production of weekly/fortnightly, monthly & Quarterly payrolls for Ireland in a busy bureau environment.
Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process, BIK, share awards, pension, and other voluntary and statutory deductions.
Dealing with starters and leavers registrations.
Process the monthly PAYE Submissions on ROS.
Processing ERR submissions.
Assisting in the resolution of day-to-day employee payroll queries in a professional manner.
Adhering to internal procedures aligned to SOX compliance.
Required to assist with external agencies in relation to payroll matters including, Client Auditors, CSO, Dept.
of Social and Family Affairs & Revenue Commissioners.
Preparing and processing statutory deductions.
Maintains employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Assist with maintaining the integrity and accuracy of payroll data, as well as the retention of related records.
Assist with documentation of process manuals for payroll procedures.
Carry out payroll reconciliations using Excel.
Providing security payslips for all employees.
Processing payment of net pay via Internet banking.
Staff training on payroll systems.
Skills & Experience required: IPASS payroll qualification with at least 3 years of payroll bureau experience.
A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality is required.
UK payroll experience desirable but not necessary.
Experienced in using payroll systems (Europay experience an advantage).
Strong IT skills with a high level of proficiency across the MS Office suite particularly with Excel.
Ability to work on own initiative with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Enthusiastic and confident with the ability to work within a team environment.
High levels of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
The ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy & fast paced environment.
