This role combines supervisory responsibilities with a willingness to be hands-on during busy periods to maintain service levels and team performance. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team of warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets.Responsibilities IncludeLeadership and SupervisionSupervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including operatives and drivers.Allocate tasks, set daily performance goals, and ensure that targets are met.Provide leadership, motivation, and support to the team, fostering a positive working environment.Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.Operational ManagementOversee goods receipt, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch processes.Actively support operational tasks during peak periods to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of priorities.Ensure that stock is handled correctly and stored in an organized manner.Monitor productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for process improvement.Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.Ceating of training and process documents.Ensure that SLAs are met.Stock and Inventory ControlMaintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper inventory management.Coordinate regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies or issues promptly.Health & SafetyMonitor and ensure that all staff comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.Conduct regular safety checks and audits, ensuring that the warehouse is a safe working environment.Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practicesEquipment and MaintenanceOversee the maintenance and safe use of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks)Report equipment faults and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.Ensure that staff are trained in the correct operation of equipment.Reporting and CommunicationPrepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, and stock accuracy.Communicate effectively with the warehouse manager, logistics team, sales team, as well as carriers or customers.HR and Staff ManagementAddress and resolve minor HR issues, including attendance, conduct, and performance concerns.Act as a liaison between warehouse staff and the HR department for more complex issues.Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.Promote a positive work environment and handle employee relations matters professionally.Required Skills And Professional Experience3-5yrs Experience working in a warehouse environment.Strong Leadership and supervisory skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Excellent problem solving skills.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.Must be an excellent time keeper and willing to work flexible hours.High attention to detail and accuracy is very important.Must be reliable, ambitious, professional, well presented.Must be capable of Working on Own Initiative.Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard IT tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).Dangerous Goods experience a Plus.The role may be required to carry out adhoc duties as required.Additional Information –8-hour working day within the operating window of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.Manual Handling, Training will all be provided.Your future at PresidioJoining Presidio means stepping into a culture of trailblazers—thinkers, builders, and collaborators—who push the boundaries of what's possible.
