The SaT M&A Advisory team provides leading corporate finance services including Lead Advisory M&A, management buy-outs/buy-ins, capital raising, investment readiness assessments and strategic advice.
The team specialises by sector and supports a range of clients and industries through a Debt Advisory capability.
We are seeking Managers, Associate Directors and Directors with M&A Advisory experience to join our Irish offices.
As part of the SaT M&A Executive role, you will work with a high-performing, integrated team focused on a variety of clients and deliver assignments in general corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory.
You will have opportunities for continuous learning and development as you work on diverse engagements.
Your key responsibilities
Originating, leading and managing M&A transactions end-to-end (including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiations) under the supervision of Directors or Partners within SaT M&A Advisory in Ireland and internationally.
Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior members on progress.
Understanding client requirements, co-developing approach with the client, and delivering value through insights, factual conclusions and advice.
Gathering, verifying and analysing information to formulate views.
Planning, preparing and reviewing deliverables such as information memoranda, reports and presentations.
Anticipating and identifying risks and escalating them to more senior staff as appropriate.
Supporting deal origination and sector insight initiatives by identifying and analysing business development opportunities.
Ensuring work is properly executed, documented and concluded in compliance with EY Quality & Risk Management guidelines.
Establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships.
Mentoring and developing junior staff and providing constructive feedback.
Maintaining and upgrading technical knowledge and personal skills.

Role requirements
Manage sell-side mandates through optimal positioning of assets or business, identifying target bidders, preparing information memoranda and negotiating terms.
Manage buy-side mandates, identifying targets and working with clients to structure and negotiate transactions.
Support clients with a diverse range of strategic mandates relating to M&A.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors and stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering professional development.
Ensure high quality client deliverables with strong attention to detail.
Seek feedback to drive own development.
Demonstrate strong numerical and financial skills and understanding of financial statements.
Prior experience and strong knowledge of the Corporate Finance landscape.
Your duties and responsibilities

Technical skill requirements
Experience in the Corporate Finance landscape with emphasis on M&A Lead Advisory and end-to-end transaction experience.
Effective communication with key stakeholders.
High commercial acumen.
Proficient in detailed financial and commercial analysis and identifying sensitivity.
Ability to identify key issues and propose workable solutions.
Experience presenting findings clearly in reports and client deliverables.
Additional requirements
Relevant analytical or financial qualifications.
Strong commercial experience and/or relevant industry experience.
Analytical approach with strong commercial acumen.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Advanced IT skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Effective time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Team player with ability to collaborate and work independently as required.
