About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design for a high‑impact product area focused on AI‑powered analysis tools for legal and insurance workflows. This role sits at the intersection of complex data, regulated industries, and emerging AI capabilities. You’ll define how users interact with advanced analysis systems—translating ambiguity into intuitive, high‑leverage experiences that help professionals make faster, more confident decisions. You’ll help users answer questions like “What matters here?”, “What’s the risk?”, and “What should I do next?” in seconds, not hours.
You’ll lead design for a critical product area while partnering closely with product, engineering, data science, and domain experts.

What We’re Looking For
6–8+ years of product design experience, with ideally experience managing other designers but not required.
Proven experience leading design for complex, data‑heavy, or AI‑driven products.
Experience in regulated domains strongly preferred.
Strong systems thinking and ability to design for complex workflows.
Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and cross‑functional decisions.
Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity.
Strong communication and storytelling skills.
Experience, comfort or interest in utilizing Claude and similar tools to enhance your work.
Responsibilities
Lead Product Design & Strategy
Frame ambiguous problem spaces in legal and insurance domains, defining clear design solutions.
Shape the experience direction for AI‑powered analysis tools (e.g., document understanding, risk insights, workflow automation).
Translate complex data and model outputs into intuitive, trustworthy user experiences.
Drive Cross‑Functional Alignment
Influence product direction through strong design leadership and rationale.
Facilitate alignment across product, engineering, data science, and domain stakeholders.
Lead design discussions, navigate tradeoffs, and resolve disagreements constructively.Partner with legal/insurance subject matter experts to ensure domain accuracy and usability.
Own Outcomes in Complex, Ambiguous Spaces
Make high‑quality experience decisions with incomplete information.
Balance short‑term delivery needs with long‑term product vision.
Champion User‑Centered, Data‑Informed Design
Conduct user interviews and research to validate direction and explore areas of opportunity.
Develop a deep understanding of user workflows (e.g., claims processing, underwriting, legal review).
Ensure design decisions clearly tie to user value and business impact.
