About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Leader to join our team on an interim basis. In this part-time role, you will provide leadership and management expertise to support various divisions within the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Financial Operations Leader, your primary focus will be on financial operations. This includes:
* Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee budgetary processes, ensuring accountability for income and expenditure in line with public financial procedures.
* Engagement with Statutory Audit Functions: Act as a key liaison for internal and external auditors, facilitating audit processes and supporting timely responses to findings.
* Strategic Leadership and Management: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and processes are maintained.
* Procurement (Financial Oversight): Provide financial oversight and ensure compliance with public procurement requirements.
* Risk Management (Financial Focus): Contribute to the corporate risk management framework, specifically concerning financial risks.
Requirements:
Candidates should possess:
* Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
* Demonstrable significant experience: At a senior level in financial management, including managing budgets
