Financial Controller (Interim - 12 Month FTC) Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead the finance function at their marketing site. This is a pivotal role within their business, providing robust financial governance while supporting the site. The Role Reporting to the Finance Director, you will partner closely with operations, site leadership, and central commercial/finance teams to ensure the financial impact of all business decisions is understood, controlled, and optimised. Leading the site finance team, you will champion best practice, benchmark performance, and support strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability. This role offers a unique opportunity for a qualified accountant with manufacturing experience to influence at a senior level, make a measurable impact, and lead a high-performing finance function. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted finance partner to the Finance Director ( UK based ), Operations Director, and site leadership team. Drive working capital planning, enhancing cash flow performance. Provide strong financial governance in line with IFRS, ensuring accurate reporting and controls. Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance benchmarking to maximise category profitability. Assess and communicate the financial impact of operational and commercial decisions. Drive process improvements and implement best-in-class financial systems. Lead, coach, and develop the site finance team, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with finance colleagues across sites to share best practice. Represent the site at functional meetings in their European Head Office in UK About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience. Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop senior financial staff. Advanced IT/system knowledge and experience implementing financial software solutions. Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
