Financial Accountant
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and qualified Financial Accountant to join our team. As a pivotal member of the finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team (2 direct reports).
* Oversee weekly and monthly reconciliations for Irish and UK accounts.
* Daily monitoring and management of cash balances and forecasting for both jurisdictions.
* Maintain accurate stock records and implement strong stock accounting controls.
* Prepare and file VAT, VIES, and Intrastat returns in line with Irish and UK legislation.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll across both entities.
* Perform journal postings and month-end procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and stock adjustments.
* Ensure all accounts are fully reconciled and discrepancies promptly resolved.
* Deliver comprehensive monthly management accounts with commentary and performance insights.
* Prepare consolidated reports and present findings to Senior Management Team.
* Support the annual audit process for both Ireland and the UK, ensuring all requirements are met.
Candidate Profile:
* Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
* Demonstrated experience managing a small finance team.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Advanced Excel proficiency with solid MS Office skills.
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
* Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
