The Role
This position will be a member of the valuation and reporting actuarial team, which is responsible for calculating actuarial items and preparing annual statutory financial statements, solvency capital requirement, and various capital calculations and risk assessments, tax reserve reporting and quarterly management reporting. The team will also have responsibility for forecasting and stress testing of reserve and capital requirements for international regulatory frameworks. This individual will also support various reinsurance transaction analysis and pricing.
Your responsibilities:
* A key contributor in managing and maintaining the reporting function in accordance with regulatory rules and international accounting frameworks
* Refine existing models and build up tools for Life Reinsurance reserves and capital for annual statements, capital calculations and management reports
* Perform source of earnings analysis and help stakeholders understand change in capital level.
* Contribute to review and validate the liability cash flows
* Contribute to the creation of quarterly valuation results
* Contribute to forecasting and stress testing results
* Preparation of documents and testing for model registration and model affirmations
* Enhance actuarial processes to improve efficiency and productivity to be following actuarial models’ validation, maintenance and risk management requirements
* Contribute to creation, documentation and registration of assumptions in collaboration with the assumptions team
* Perform cash settlement review processes
* Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders: actuarial team, finance and controllers, modelling, treasury, audit (internal and external), risk management, assumptions
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Degree in Actuarial Science, mathematics, finance, computer science or other quantitative related fields are preferred
* Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
* 3 years’ experience with at least 4 Actuarial exams passed or 2 years’ experience with more than 7 actuarial exams passed from the IFOA Core Principle & Core Practice exams.
* Experience in Polysystems/Alpha/GGY Axis
* Experience with international accounting frameworks and/or reinsurance is a strong plus
* Dedication to completing work in a timely fashion and with high-quality results
* Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
* Highly organized, collaborative and adept at managing multiple, competing priorities.
