Counsellor Therapist Opportunity
The role of Accredited Counsellor/Therapist is to provide short term counselling services in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 years and over.
This opportunity provides the chance to work with a highly valued service, providing trauma-informed counselling contracts to clients of the National Counselling Service for adult survivors of childhood trauma.
Key Qualifications and Experience
* A recognised Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health related profession is essential.
* Please note that the following qualifications are required:
1. A degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling, psychotherapy recognised by one of the following: IACP, IABCP or a relevant body within ICP.
2. Full accredited membership with one of the following: IACP, IABCP or a relevant body within ICP.
3. Alternatively, hold a post-graduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
4. Commenced the registration process with the PSI or be fully registered with the clinical or counselling psychology division of PSI.
A minimum of two years' experience working as an Accredited Counsellor/Therapist is also necessary.
