Graduate Accounts Assistant We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team based in Macroom. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a background in accounting, finance, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work closely with the finance team to support daily accounting operations, assist in month-end processes, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Location:Macroom, Co. Cork Salary and Benefits: Full-time permanent role with opportunities for professional development Supportive team environment with on-the-job training Exposure to a wide range of accounting tasks and systems Opportunities to progress within the company as you gain experience On-site parking and convenient location in Macroom Key Responsibilities: Post sales and purchase invoices to the general and subsidiary ledgers Allocate bank payments and receipts accurately Complete central billing docket matching for accuracy and completeness Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, VAT, creditors, and debtors Assist in the preparation of month-end accounts and reporting Support the finance team with weekly KPI reports for clients Conduct weekly store control and inventory checks Respond to queries from internal teams or external clients and follow through to resolution Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (training provided if required) Good communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and work as part of a collaborative team Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively This role is ideal for a graduate who is eager to begin a career in accounting and develop their skills in a practical, real-world environment.
