Project Manager
An established organisation delivering construction and refurbishment projects within a regulated financial environment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their operations team.
This is a customer-facing, hybrid role, combining office-based work, remote working and regular travel to sites across Ireland. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of construction-related projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Project Manager will take full accountability for project performance, acting as the key liaison between internal teams, contractors and customer stakeholders.
You will manage multiple workstreams, oversee cross-functional delivery teams, control budgets and schedules, and ensure all works comply with regulatory, safety and quality requirements typical of a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full project lifecycle from scope definition through to completion
* Liaise closely with customer stakeholders to define requirements and manage expectations
* Plan, control and report on project schedules, costs, risks and deliverables
* Coordinate architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors and specialist suppliers
* Ensure compliance with planning, fire, access, health & safety and regulatory standards
* Manage and monitor contractor performance and site activities
* Oversee procurement of works and services and maintain strong cost control
* Prepare and maintain project documentation including reports, risk registers, minutes and financial trackers
* Support programme-level planning, reporting and budget tracking where required
* Ensure works are delivered in line with internal quality standards and ISO systems
* Maintain strong day-to-day communication with customers and provide formal reporting updates
* Coordinate with facilities, security, IT and operational teams to minimise disruption to live environments
* Ensure projects comply with strict security and access control requirements
* Promote high standards of professionalism, safety and delivery excellence at all times
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a motivated and organised Project Manager with a strong background in construction-related projects, ideally within a regulated or high-compliance environment.
You will be confident managing multiple stakeholders, capable of leading diverse delivery teams, and comfortable working in live operational settings.
Essential Experience & Skills
* Degree-qualified in Construction, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering construction-related projects
* Proven ability to manage budgets, programmes and contractor performance
* Strong working knowledge of health & safety and risk management
* Experience using formal project management systems
* Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, reporting, scheduling tools such as MS Project)
* Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
* Full Irish driving licence
Desirable
* Experience working in a banking, financial services or similarly regulated environment
* Exposure to live-site or operationally sensitive projects
