Job Role: Production Optimizer
This position is accountable for driving improvements in existing product and service portfolios, as well as supporting new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot problems with existing equipment and processes to minimize downtime.
* Investigate and propose new production procedures and methods to automate, improve, and bring efficiencies to existing processes.
* Develop and implement solutions to drive cost reductions and cycle time improvements.
* Runs test programs to identify key variables for process optimization using sound continuous improvement techniques.
* Collect and analyze data from tests to inform process improvements.
* Develops conclusions and recommendations for process enhancements.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Act as the champion for complaint resolution including root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventative actions for assigned areas.
* Develop standard work and assist with training operators on optimal production processes.
* Communicate and collaborate with sales and off-site teams to link with customer engineering teams.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* Experience in manufacturing processes required.
* Direct technical experience working in the PVD industry preferred but not necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, written & ICT skills, strong communication skills with customers and internally, and ability to work cross-functionally across technology, operations, and quality.
