Medical Secretary Role
We are seeking an organised and dedicated individual to join our front-office team as a Medical Secretary. This is a unique opportunity to work in a busy private medical clinic located near University College Cork (UCC).
As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to consultants, including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. You will also coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals, handle incoming phone calls and emails, and manage patient billing and payment processing. Additionally, you will liaise with hospitals, laboratories, and external healthcare providers, maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all medical documentation, and perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and document preparation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Secretary is essential.
* Experience in a private clinic or GP practice strongly preferred.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical software systems.
* High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
