Company Description
NanobOx is a water technology company at the forefront of innovation in the fast emerging field of nanobubble-based water treatment. Our patented electric field technology generates high concentrations of nanobubbles directly from dissolved gases in water. It is highly energy efficient and needs no external gas supply. It is highly scalable, resistant to fouling, and with no moving parts, is very low maintenance.
nanobOx TM nanobubble treatment is proven in field trials in irrigated agriculture to boost root growth and health, improve nutrient use efficiency, supress growth of biofilm helping growers reduce inputs while maintaining or increasing yields. In aquaculture and industrial water treatment, nanobOx water treatment boosts the health and growth of animals and beneficial microbiota, improving water quality while reducing oxygen, energy and chemical cost.
Role Description
Responsibilities include leading product design and engineering, managing materials procurement, manufacturing and supporting on-site commissioning of our first generation products. The role involves collaborating closely with product management, operations, and field teams to translate customer requirements into engineered solutions, support pilot installations, and troubleshoot performance issues. The Lead Product Engineer will also contribute to process improvement, documentation, and scaling of manufacturing and deployment practices as the company grows.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering, with experience in fluid systems, water treatment, or process engineering.
Proficiency in system design and integration, including CAD tools, prototyping, and validation of hardware systems in real-world environments.
Experience leading engineering projects or teams, including planning, prioritization, code or design reviews, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Practical skills in testing, data collection, and analysis to characterize performance, diagnose issues, and drive iterative design improvements.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document designs, specifications, and test results.
Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and embedded or PLC-based control of pumps, valves, or other process equipment is an advantage.
Experience working in engineering design, fabrication and assembly of mechanical, electrical or water handing equipment (pumps, lines, valves) is a plus.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline, with minimum 5 years practical experience.
