We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to assume the position of Day Services Operations Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development and operational management of our day services.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic direction and leadership in daily operations
">
* Support and supervise day service managers across multiple locations
">
* Lead the planning, development, and implementation of person-centred services
">
* Ensure the delivery of services in line with national frameworks and standards
">
* Champion organisational values and a human rights-based approach
">
* Oversee new service development and project management initiatives
">
* Manage referrals, admissions, and transitions, including school leaver placements
">
">
Quality, Compliance & Governance
">
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and audit processes. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Lead monitoring and reporting on KPIs, service outcomes, and audits. Act as a Designated Officer for safeguarding.
">
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
">
Engage with families, professionals, and external agencies including HSE. Represent the service on external committees and professional networks. Liaise with finance, HR, and clinical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
">
Transport & Logistics
">
Oversee the operational management of all day service transport routes. Supervise driver and escort scheduling, and coordinate logistics for outings and appointments.

Person Specification
">
A recognised degree in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Nursing (Intellectual Disability or Psychiatric), or equivalent. Management qualification is highly desirable. 35 years management experience in disability services across multiple units. Deep knowledge of national standards such as New Directions and Person Centred Planning frameworks. Proven track record of managing audits, quality reporting, and compliance. Strong experience in stakeholder collaboration, particularly with HSE and external bodies. Excellent IT, communication, and organisational skills.
