Main goal of the position:

* Plan and implement human resources policies, programs and practices to maintain and improve employee relations.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

* 2 years experience in a related role
* Strong work ethic and drive
* Ability to achieve KPIs and targets
* Commercial awareness and understanding of grocery retail
* Passion for the industry
* Familiarity with fast-paced working environments

Main tasks:

* Ensure employees adhere to SuperValu brand values
* Maintain optimal employment levels through recruitment and selection procedures
* Develop personalized training plans for each employee
* Promote a positive working atmosphere through effective communication and conflict resolution
* Evaluate and implement procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
* Ensure all employees receive proper induction and ongoing training
* Record and document internal and external training
* Manage employee attendance, leave and holiday records
* Implement grievance and disciplinary procedures as needed
* Evaluate customer service programs and provide necessary training
* Liaise with shop and union officials according to company policies

Key responsibilities:

* Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with business objectives
* Collaborate with senior leadership to design the organization, plan the workforce, and manage succession
* Provide expert advice on people strategy, culture, and change management
* Talent & Performance: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to attract and develop top performers
* Drive performance management processes to promote accountability and continuous improvement
* Develop and oversee leadership and management training programs
* Culture & Engagement: Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion across sites
* Built a culture that supports innovation and high performance
* Serve as a trusted point of contact for staff and management on HR matters
* HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance: Oversee HR policies to ensure compliance with Irish employment law and GDPR
* Manage time clocking systems and coordinate with HR, Finance, and payroll providers
* Lead employee relations processes fairly, consistently, and progressively
* Analyze HR data to inform strategic decision-making

Requirements:

* Minimum Level 8 qualification in HRM, Business, or related field (CIPD membership beneficial)
* At least 5 years of HR experience, including senior advisor or business partner roles
* Demonstrated experience with HR systems and payroll management
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and best practices
* Proven ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with senior leaders
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Full clean driver's license, with flexibility to work across multiple locations
